Tugs Perserverence and Rob
It is a moonlit early winter night in 1923 on Rondout Creek, New York, on the Hudson River, and home port of the Cornell Steamboat Company. Their big 2-stack line-tug Perserverance is laid up on the left, with other tugs behind her along the bulkhead. The smaller shifter tugboat Rob chuffs out of the creek with a canal barge of Chrsitmas trees.
