Hudson River Maritime Museum New Exhibits Opening Reception 2 May New exhibits include "Hudson's Journey," "Rondout Remembered," "Stream Passenger Yachts the Water Buses of the 1890's," and " Racing the Wind -Two Centuries of Iceboating on the Hudson." Solomons Maritime Festival 10 May Calvert Marine Musem, Solomons, MD. The Solomons Maritime Festival comes alive with the sights, sounds, and smells of Southern Maryland traditions. Taste traditional foods, learn how to pick crabs and shuck oysters like the pros, enjoy local gospel and old time music, see Chesapeake Bay retriever trials in action, watch model boats skim the waters of the boat basin, talk with traditional crafts people as they demonstrate their skills. Opening day for boat rides on the historic bugeye, the Wm. B. Tennison. The Tennison will be joined by a draketail, rowboat, tug and working water boat. Cove Point Lighthouse tours also begin this festival weekend, as well as the seasonal opening of the J.C.
