James Carter

James Carter is the Managing Partner of The Lighthouse Group (TLG), a management- and marketing-oriented consultancy specializing in private equity.  The firm, in partnership with other private equity firms, is engaged in the identification, due diligence, and acquisition of mid-sized private companies.  The firm was founded by Mr. Carter in 1996.

Jim's 25-year business career has covered marketing and general management, consulting, and entrepreneurial new business development.

He holds degrees from Texas Christian University and the University of Illinois.  He is a lover of tradtional small sailboats, with a particular affection for catboats.
