James Carter is the Managing Partner of The Lighthouse Group (TLG), a management and marketing oriented consultancy specializing in private equity.  The firm, in partnership with other private equity firms, is engaged in the identification, due diligence and acquisition of mid-sized private companies. The firm was founded by Mr. Carter in 1996. 

Jim's 25-year business career has coverred marketing adn general magaement , consulkting and entrepenurial new business development.

He holds degrees from Texas Christian University andthe University of Illinois. He is a lover of traditional small sailboats, with a particular affection for catboats.
