  Thomas F. Daly is a graduate of Lafayette College. After completing his military service obligation he was with the Intergovernmental Committee for European Migration and stationed in Madrid. He is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law School. He was a partner in the law firm of McCarter and English and since his retirement from the full time practice of law has served as Of Council to the firm. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and is a Proctor of the Maritime Law Association of the United States. He served on the faculty of the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy in Boulder, Colorado. 

Mr. Daly was an adjunct Professor of Maritime and Admiralty Law at the Rutgers School of Law. He has held a merchant marine master's license with an unlimited radar observer endorsement. He is a graduated of the Advanced Ship Handling program at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. 
     
Mr. Daly has been a member of the New Jersey Maritime and Docking Pilots Commission since 1991. The Commission licensees and regulates pilots who pilot ships in the Port of New York and New Jersey. In that capacity he investigates and reviews maritime incidents occurring within the Port. 
     
Mr. Daly has been a Trustee or member of the Board of Governor of several organizations. He currently serves the Society as its secretary and chairs the audit committee. Mr. Daly and his wife Nancy reside in Rumson, NJ. They are the parents of four children and have eight grandchildren.
